iTe CEMOX® is a microcement-based decorative floor fi nish with a Hybrid sealer coat which is one of the fi nishes that fall under iTe Products’ DECORiTe® range. iTe CEMOX® is a complete system which delivers a beautiful cement-look decorative fi nish, ideal for fl ooring applications that have a rustic appearance with all the advantages of German Technology supported by Italian design fl air.
iTe CEMOX® is slip resistant, making it safe for wet areas such as bath rooms, is available in matt or gloss fi nishes in a limited range of colours. The decorative component is hand applied, which means that each fl oor has its own unique fi nal appearance.
iTe CEMOX® can be used in residential and commercial applications, and requires minimal maintenance, depending on the nature of the traffi c to be carried.
The iTe CEMOX® system may only be applied by trained, accredited applicators.
iTe CEMOX® must be applied to a flat, smooth substrate, and the system incorporates use of a specialised DECORiTe® SLU,self-levelling compound to provide this foundation. The substrate must be sound, dry, and free of contaminants. A 5mm application of DECORiTe® SLU is included in the system. Screed moisture content must be below 3%. If the moisture levels are below 3%, the substrate is primed with BONDiTe® primer, if the moisture is above 3%, 2 coats of VAPORiTe® +PLUS moisture barrier are applied as per the relevant specifications. The cured VAPORiTe® +PLUS is then coated with iTe SLURRY® to provide a good key for the DECORiTe® SLU, and left to dry.
APPLICATION OF ITE CEMOX (THIS IS A 2 COAT APPLICATION)
iTe CEMOX® is applied by hand. The applicator spreads the decorative microcement colourant using wrist movement in consistent sweeps with a special stainless-steel trowel to achieve the desired effect, and left to dry.
APPLICATION OF ITE CEMOX 2ND COAT.
In order to create the desired effect, the area must be kept clean and dust free. No sanding is possible at this point.
iTe CEMOX® 2nd Coat is also applied by hand. The applicator spreads the decorative microcement colourant using wrist movement in consistent sweeps with a special stainless-steel trowel to achieve the desired effect in workable sections and left to dry slightly. This semi-dry section is then worked with the trowel to polish and smooth it to create the desired effect and look.
APPLICATION OF CEMOX PRIMER (PRIMER IS ONLY USED FOR LIGHT EFFECTS) Depending on the selected colour, being either in the dark or light effect, the iTe CEMOX® Primer is applied in two coats by roller, the fi rst being allowed to dry.
DECORiTe® SLU is applied as per the relevant DECORiTe® SLU data sheet, to a thickness of 5mm to provide a smooth, fl at and level base for the rest of the system. This application is left to dry until the following day.
The Hybrid Sealer is applied over the polished surface using a sponge Roller as thinly as possible and left to dry for two hours. Once fully cured a second coat is applied in the same way. For heavy traffi c areas, a third coat may be used.
Depending on whether a matt or gloss finish is desired, the appropriate wax polymer dressing is applied using a lambs wool applicator. When the first coat is dry, a second coat is applied similarly. (The same rules apply as those for vinyl flooring).

iTe CEMOX® is supplied as a complete system, with all components for a specifi c project supplied to provide the correct quantities of each for each part of the system, based on the square metres to be covered.
